This dance reflects research investigating the role of modern dance legacy in the process of contemporary creation. It responds particularly to Paul Taylor's 1985 work Last Look.
Created for Julia Lawton's Senior Honors Thesis at Adelphi University, Lasting Bound: Navigating Legacy in Twenty-First Century Modern Dance was the recipient of the Ruth St. Denis Prize for Best Work in Fine or Performing Arts.
